The dual goal of the Mayor’s Office for Neighborhood Engagement is to improve the quality of life for District residents by assisting the District government in providing coordinated and scheduled delivery of high-quality basic services for every resident, visitor, and business owner:
Community Relations/Neighborhood Outreach & Engagement: Promote Mayoral initiatives such as town hall meetings, neighborhood walkthroughs, civic association meetings and other external events designed to enhance the Mayor’s presence in the community.
Community Services: Coordinate multi-agency initiatives to meet the demands of District residents by responding to social service needs, managing citywide maintenance projects and addressing additional constituent concerns.
